Are there any environmentalist surfers out there?

marinebuddies asked: I'm trying to arrange a surfing event with an environmental-friendly theme... What do you think would be a good activity (other than surfing, of course) to arrange in that event? Would surfers be interested in beach clean-up activities or something similar?RICK
